iPhone 4 for $25? Yes, it's true

If you meet a few criteria, you can get an iPhone 4 from Radio Shack for as little as $25.

RadioShack is running a little special from Dec. 4-11 that offers a $50 discount on iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS. You must buy new devices and not refurbs. You just have to be eligible for upgrade. This means you must be ready for a new two-year agreement.

So the pricing would be: $49.99 for 3GS, $149.99 for 16 gig iPhone 4 and $249.99 for a 32-gig iPhone 4.

The Shack also offers a trade-in program. iPhone 3G owners get $75 and 3GS get $125. So you can get a new iPhone 4 for as little as $24.99 if you want to sign up with AT&T for two years.

Special doesn't show up online, is it in-store only?

It's probably because the iPhone 5 is due out in early 2011 and Verizon iPhone is supposed to be released in Spring... gotta' hook 'em in NOW AT&T.

and shi*ty AT&T service with it

I've had 2 phones with AT*T service and never had a problem, with less dropped calls than my work's blackberry and better coverage than Verizon.

Be sure and purchase the Applecare extended warranty for your iPhone. I have lost wi-fi capability on my 3G with 9 months to go on my 2 year contract. Neither AT&T or Apple will cover the defects. I think the FTC should mandate 2 year warranties to be provided by the service providers with their 2 year contracts.

The IPHONE 5 will not come out until June, and Verizon will not get the IPHONE until 2013. Also, if Verizon does get the IPHONE it will not be able to text and talk at the same time as AT&T is the only network design for this. So AT&T would still be the better option when it comes to this particular phone. I am an IPHONE user simply because it'e a company phone, but if you are looking for a better option the Sprint's EVO is a beast!

i can talk and text on my droid x phone through verizon. and in my opinion, i've held both in my hand and used both for extended times, i prefer the droid. does so much more.

Actually Anonymous 10:01, while Apple does indeed only release new iPhone models in June, all evidence points to a CDMA (Verizon compatible) iPhone 4 being ready in early 2011.

AT&T's exclusive arrangement with Apple expires at the end of 2010, and Apple desperately wants to get the iPhone on more carriers to counter the inroads the various Android devices have made over the last 18 months.

With Apple's and Verizon's new working relationship selling iPads in Verizon stores, I would bet good money that you will see a Verizon iPhone 4 within the next 60 days.

I called some radio shacks. According to the workers i spoke with, most stores don't even have the iphone 4 in stock. they have to arrange to get you one. They are also not saying that the $75 is a firm. It's appraised by the worker and they will offer you $10 to $75 for it

Went into the University City Radio Shack and they had them available. However, my 3G water damage indicator was red meaning that there was some water damage even though the phone is fully functional (no cracks either). Due to that, my phone was "worth" $9. I still picked up the 16gb version for $150 since it a pretty decent deal.
