Will "Backbreaker" challenge Madden for football supremacy?

A new video football game, Backbreaker, is due this fall. These highlights looks pretty good. Is it the Madder-killer some gamers hope it will be?

No real teams or players is hard. At best, it'll be a Madden alternative. What do you think?

Um,

The NFL 2Kx challenged Madden for football supremacy and was, by far, the better of the two. So EA did what EA does best: destroy competition and put out another sorry product. EA was threatened by a better game and so bought exclusive rights from the NFL. Thanks to EA's greed and hate for competition, we are left with pathetic offerings.

Yeah, right, Wade. 2K Sports is awful. Just look at what they did with their MLB exclusive deal. A shitty game with terrible bugs, worse gameplay, and graphics that are mediocre at best.

As for THIS game, it dosn't look like much more than an NFL Blitz clone with better graphics.

Ian Cummings of Madden 10 has acknowledged that 2k5 football still does things better than Madden. This year he has made a statement that he hopes to never have to hear about 2k5 again by finally making a realistic football game.MichaelProcton we are talking football.Madden 10 will FINALLY have features that 2k5 had in 2004.Like Refs , chain gang , different camera angles.Madden 10 still wont have a quality halftime show but as you Madden fanboys are accustomed to hearing....Wait till next year.Im a 2k5 guy buty but Im pleased with what Ive seen in Madden 10.They are finally going in the sim direction like 2k5.

Anon 7:12, Madden had those features on last-gen systems too.

And who cares about a halftime show for their FOOTBALL game?
